2011: Growth year.
2011 was the year where I grew into the April Mae I wanted to become.
I remembered starting the year with so many expectations of what I wanted to be and to become. I never realized how many things were going to challenge me.
There was so many highlights this year:
Competition season with Infusion
Debut prep & DEBUT
Senior Year
Making it in ASB & making Infusion & Choir...
Filipino New Year's Traditions in my household.

Always wear Polka Dots
Have a lot of round fruits (i.e. hanging grapes above the doorways)
Eat hotpot
Leave money in your pockets and all around the house for good fortune
Jump to grow a few more inches
Bang pots and pans to let the Bad Luck/Old Year out
Have all windows and doors open to let the Good Luck/New Year in
Wear red for good luck :D
